Educators respect and value the history of First Nations, Inuit, and Metis in Canada and the compact of the past on the present and the future. Educators contribute toward truth, reconciliation, and healing. Educators foster a deeper understanding of ways of knowing and being histories, and cultures of First Nations, Inuit, and Metis.
I am still always learning how to implement this standard into my teaching practices. In my 490 I tried to be more mindful of my practicum. I took my students outside at every opportunity to the learning from the land and around it.
